I saw myself as a small child in my dream...

Today when I woke up (at 4:45 AM), I just recollected my dream.

In my dream I have a brother (whose face is like when I was a small kid of age 3-5 years). I love my brother a lot and like to rub my hands on his white-red soft cheeks. My brother doesn't speak much, is a lovely kid and doesn't cry or shout or scare away visitors.

When I think of my dream, I fall in love with myself :-)

My current photos can be seen here.

my take on "email forwards"

they come daily, and many of them. and each one of them is stuffed with hundreds of addresses which each one of us has to scroll down to literally hunt (sometimes) for the actual mail content.

i wonder why at all this is a norm that when we forward an email, email service/program always adds the address from which it originally initiated to the mail content. i really dont see it as having any useful purpose (at least its more trouble than any use it may have). if it does have, people should be allowed to turn it on or off in email service/program settings. also, while composing email, there better be a "live" option in the compose window itself to add/not-add this

anyways, i give somewhat personal attention to email forwards. for whatever reason, i just cant send anyone a junk laden forward where one has to scroll down so much. when i send any of these funny forwards to my friends, i treat them just like sending a paper card. i remove all the junk, and add any useful comment that may help. and i dont send just like to send just anything as a forward. i send only things i think are really nice. even though it means that forwards come out less frequently.

for whatever reason. even i dont know.

My favorite touching songs (GAMMA)

On the line of this post (songs that I find energizing), this post is to list those songs that I find touching. Out of our 5 senses (Vision, Hearing, Taste, Smell & Touch), how on earth can an audio song be touching? Oh yes, I do feel these songs actually touch me, something beyond the understanding of conventional science. Perhaps there exist mental senses (apart from the physical senses that we already know about) that are invoked by non-physical entities (for example an audio song), but cause a feeling equivalent of a physical sense. After all, even physical senses are merely a state of mind, and it should be possible to cause them artificially/non-conventionally.
  1. U2 - Electrical Storm
  2. Judaai (from the movie "Jannat")
  3. Andrea Bocelli & Sarah Brightman - Time to Say Goodbye
  4. Takin' Back My Love (Enrique Iglesias) - I'm taking back my love from her...
  5. Mere sapno ki rani (Aradhana) - I sometimes feel that this song will be cherished even 1,000 years from now...
  6. Jaane Kyun (Dostana) - This song always reminds me of my trip to Bangalore.
  7. Alvida (Life in a... Metro)
  8. Yaadein (By Roxen) - This song will forever remind me of my college days
  9. Beete Lamhein (The Train) - This song will forever remind me of my college days
  10. Mitran Di Chatri (Babbu Mann) - One of my all-time favorite songs. It's a timeless song that is much, much deeper than what is visible at the first sight. My favorite paragraph is

    Kande raakhi karde reh gaye
    Haye bhore nazara le gaye....
    London ton aaye bapari
Nath pa sone di le gaye....
Pata ni karazy kyun valait layi?
Pata ni karazy kyun valait layi
    Saariyan Punjab di kawaariyan...
    Mitran di chhatri...

  12. KK - Pal (reminds me of my college's farewell night...)
  13. KK - Yaaron
  14. Westlife - If I Let You Go (I first heard this song while watching Miss World 1999)
  15. Lucky Boy; Khuda Jaane (both from 'Bachna Ae Haseeno') and Kabhi Kabhi Aditi (Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na) - These songs (and some others) always refresh the painful feelings of August 2008, when I was in a devastated state, trying to hold myself together, struggling to cope with the catastrophe in my personal life and also meet the high expectations from me at my newly-joined job. I remember how every morning I would drive from Ghaziabad to Noida (a two-hour drive), with my eyes full of tears
  16. Yeh Jo Des Hai Tera (Swades) - Today (16-Jan-10), I was on my way from from Sandton to Riviera, when this song was playing in the car. Tears flowed from my eyes when the song said

  17. Kagaz Ki Kashti (Jagjit Singh)

  33. Tum Se Hi - Remix (Jab We Met)
  34. Soldier Soldier (Soldier) - Reminds me of my childhood... my teenage :)
  35. Saat Samundar Paar (Vishwatma - 1992)
  36. Kabhi Shaam Dhale (Sur)

My Favorite Energising Songs (GAMMA)

Why have I appended a (gamma) to this post's name? For the same reason, that Yahoo has appended gamma to its Flickr service. I like the reasoning given by Yahoo, and the same 'continuous addition & improvement' policy shall be followed here- this post will continue to evolve as I keep adding songs to the list.

'Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.'
(To imitate someone is to pay the person a genuine compliment—often an unintended compliment.)

Yahoo's reasoning can be found here

This is the post where I want to list all those songs which I find energising- meaning thereby which fill me with energy, or more precisely, cause some dumb lying fuel to get involved in the respiration process. On a lighter note, no actual energy should be transferring to my body; these songs seem to be acting only like a software catalyst- to speed up ongoing metabolism- and to stimulate flow of certain hormones (Possibly Adrenalin).

New! List of songs that I find touching is here
  1. Hans Zimmer - Mutiny (From the movie 'Crimson Tide') (One of the most inspiring and energizing songs I've ever heard. It fills me with fire and aggression in a way that few other songs can. This beautiful piece of music reminds me of four of my favorite words - Defiance, Maverick, Mutiny and Rebel)
  2. DJ Yahel - Voyage (I don't have words!)
  3. DJ Tiesto - Trance Sensation (link 1; link 2)
  4. Mylo - Drop The Pressure (such intoxicating video!)
  5. Google I-O 2009 (Day 1) Chrome Experiments Introduction Video Music (by Googler Matt Waddell) (link) (Sometimes when I listen to this song, I become serious and focused... my concentration increases and leisurely activities come to a screeching halt)
  6. Timbaland - The Way I Are
  7. Chuckie & Lmfao - Let The Bass Kick In Miami Bitch (I remember that night at DropZone - in Pretoria - when I heard this song for the first time. It was intoxicating me back then, and it continues to do so ever since...)

  9. Westlife - If I Let You Go (1999- From the album "Westlife")

  14. The Corrs - Joy of Life (Thank you to 'The Corrs' for making this great song :-))

  18. Yanni- Nostalgia (Reflections Of Passion)
  19. Yanni- Santorini (Live at the Acropolis)
  20. Aahista Aahista (Bachna Ae Haseeno) (I especially like the scene in this song where they both are taking some kind of a ride in the snow)
  21. James Blunt - You're Beautiful (This song kind of pushes me and makes me realise the presence of the elusive, and makes me want to capture it as soon as possible.)
  22. Harold Faltermeyer- Axel F (I simply love the way he keeps making you wait for a long, long time and keeps preparing the ground for the real thing- and when finally he unleashes it, it does live up to one's expectations, and it does make one feel the wait was worth it!)
  23. Cher- Believe (Just like "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" is my all time favorite english movie, this song is my all time favorite english song. I love this song a lot.
